Canvas is 99% accurate on most measurements in your CAD file, floor plan, or report. It’s important to follow our How To Scan guide to get the best accuracy.

Enhancing accuracy with manual measurements

If you need higher accuracy for a few critical dimensions, you may include field measurements via the app or the Account Portal when you place the order or within 8 hours (2 hours for Rush orders). We’ll use them to override scan data where possible and rely on the scan for the rest.

Reference materials need to be in English as an image, text, or CAD file. The start and endpoint for any dimension should be clear. Do not rely on "industry-standard" assumptions.

Troubleshooting

If you have a problem with delivered files, email support@canvas.io, and we’ll do our best to resolve it. We’ll do a scan review to investigate the cause of the error, and we’ll adjust your model at no cost. Please include the Order ID, a description of the issue, and any supporting information.
