Non-Residential Environments

While we’ve designed Canvas for use in residential environments, you can use Canvas on all types of spaces, including commercial, industrial, retail, and other non-residential applications.

When using Canvas outside of the home, you may run into the following limitations:

• Details uncommon in residential spaces may be simplified or not included (e.g.,equipment or machinery)
• AppleLiDAR’s max range is 16 feet, so your device may not be able to scan tall ceilings
• Highly reflective, transparent, or dark surfaces can interfere with the LiDAR sensor
• Very large spaces (10,000+ square feet) can lead to lower levels of accuracy
